Amanda grew up on the Alabama Gulf Coast. After high school she moved to Huntsville to go to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Fast forward through a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Physics and 20 years working for NASA and the US Army – she is still in Huntsville and loving it. Teaching science at a diverse homeschool keeps her technically sharp and stretches those hard won people management skills.
She is married to a wonderfully creative right-brained man for the past 23 years. Her house is usually full of music and art projects. She has a sweet teenage daughter and 2 badly behaved dogs. When she is not preparing a science lesson for school, she is preparing a Sunday School lesson for church. She has taught all ages but have a passion for elderly women and widows. Her friends often ask for status updates on her affectionately termed “little old ladies”.
